Classic raw puerh from old trees. It has a beautiful sweet aroma and smooth, balanced taste. This tea captivates by the depth of its taste with notes of dates, dried apricots, and apples. Long oily aftertaste, mineral tones, and dark amber infusion instantly reveal the solidity of ancient trees.

Cha Qi energy has a sedative and soothing character. Moreover, tea invigorates and increases attentiveness. Recommended for all fans of classic pu-erhs. The stock of tea is limited.

Deeply impressed!
Clearest tasting raw I have tasted so far.
Effect is very good too!

- This is a second review, to find out how different this tea tastes now that it is a decade old -
Brief (5-10 seconds) steeps in 90 Celsius water.
Liquor is a deep amber in color, almost clear.
Taste is fruity with a slight floral note in the sweet aftertaste, no bitterness, medium finish.
Mouthfeel is somewhat sticky, with no astringency.
Wet leaves are dark bronze in color with an olive green hue, giving off a sweet aroma of dried plums.
Flavor intensity starts to mellow down by the 5th infusion, thus best to steep longer from here onwards.
A longer (1 minute) steep in the next infusion gives a deeper color hue to the liquor, a sweeter aroma, and a start of slight astringency with a touch of tart-bitterness, as well as some dryness around the lips.
Empty cup leaves a soft fruity-sweet smell.
To me the taste difference between 2021 review and now is almost no difference. Both still give similar sweetness in aroma and aftertaste, as well as making me sleepy.

Sweet and calming in the first brews and quite "nice". But with some hidden strength and quite some astringency in the later brews and if steeped too long. Could need a little time aging to settle down.

This sheng calms me.
I do brief steeps and the results give a nice mouthfeel, no apparent bitterness, but a slight fruity-tartness much like green fruits.
There is a light fruity-sweet after taste, though.
The aroma of the wet leaves somewhat addictive. I smell green plums/nectarines.

Clearly made from the “same” cloth as the HTC cakes and the 2014 mao-cha, it is prunes-fruity and deep, with good qi and many many steeps..

The young Thai puer with this specific profile, while great, are quite similar as they don’t have age and storage to differentiate between them, but this one stands out with an extra thick smooth mouthfeel, so if you like Thai puer you should definitely give this one a try!
