Chiang Rai province, the north of Thailand, 1300 meters above sea level. 200-500-year-old tea trees.
This cake is very different from his brother. They have the same year but were stored in different places.
This pu-erh immediately performs an interesting woody taste, then come dried fruits with notable dried apricots notes. It has a more steady and balanced taste, but not so bright. But each tea is good in its own way. Take your chance to compare and observe the influence on storage.
This tea needs 100C boiling water and time. Withstands over-steeping with no harm. Pleasantly soothes your body.

Dry leaves: dark aspect, not very compressed
Steamed leaves: leathery smell
Infusion: note of licorice, hint of coffee, raw cocoa, blackberry, chocolate
Light astringency, little bitterness, slight acidity at the end.
Fruits of the forest, sweet return towards the 13th infusion.
The next steps go progressively to the mushroom, and it is very enduring !
An excellent tea, both energizing and calming, with an almost violent Qi in the first infusions :D
clearly high quality material, same as its pricier brother, with the different (better) storage.
a nice taste, though flatter than the other,
and the number of brews is large, with a comfortable qi.
I'm buying for aging, but some will definitely enjoy drinking now!
